Dubai Land Department updates names of 28 neighbourhoods and regions in the city
The Dubai Land Department has changed the names of some of the city’s best-known neighbourhoods, according to local media reports.
Districts such as Sheikh Zayed Road, Jebel Ali Village and Emirates Hills First have been given new identities.
A post on the Dubai Land Department website shows updated names of 28 neighbourhoods in the city.
According to the Land Department website, the Sheikh Zayed Road region will be renamed as Burj Khalifa, while Emirates Hills First, Second and Third are now identifed as Al Thanyah Fifthm Third and Fourth.
Other new names include Motor City being renamed as Al Hebiah First, Jebel Ali Village becoming Jebel Ali First and Sport City having the name Al Hebiah Fourth.
